Project brief

Task

Create a children’s application available in four languages—Ukrainian, English, Bulgarian, and Russian—designed to help children practice giving compliments. Background music was also included.

Practice kind words through play

Charmy is a personal Telegram Mini App and bot designed to help children practise giving compliments. The project uses a lesson-based learning structure with short activities, a progress path and a playful visual language. It supports Ukrainian, English, Bulgarian and Russian.

The recorded development period was three days, combining AI-assisted coding with hands-on development. My scope was full stack, using React, Node.js, PostgreSQL and VPS deployment. Telegram Stars payments were also part of the project.

A path that makes the next step clear

The original recording shows lessons arranged along a winding path, with star-shaped nodes, chapter information and a visible energy counter. Bottom navigation provides access to the path, character, shop and additional settings.

This structure gives a small lesson somewhere to belong. A child can see where they are and what to open next instead of choosing from a long list of exercises. Pink accents, soft cards and simple symbols keep the interface approachable.

Short exercises and a word-search game

The app includes question-and-answer interactions for practising compliments. A separate recording demonstrates a word-search mini-game with a timer, a list of target words and a hint action. These are two different ways to engage with the same language theme.

Short exercise screens benefit from a clear hierarchy: the prompt first, the available choices or game board second, and progress feedback nearby. The original videos below show how the project moved between those states.

Four languages in one product

Supporting four languages was part of the original brief, rather than an addition after the interface was finished. The learning content and navigation need to remain understandable as the language changes. React provides the presentation layer, with Node.js and PostgreSQL supporting the application backend.

Background music was included to support the playful atmosphere. The Telegram bot provides an entry point, while the Mini App gives the activities the visual space they need. The portfolio recordings only load when explicitly played.

A focused personal prototype

The outcome was a working personal project exploring a child-friendly lesson loop inside Telegram: a progress path, exercises, mini-games, multilingual content and a Stars-based payment context. It is presented as a prototype built over three days, without claims about educational effectiveness or a measured user audience.

The case brings together product structure, interface development and Telegram integration in a small, coherent experience.
